Emirates brings the Airbus A350-900 to Rome Fiumicino
The new-generation widebody debuts in Italy with the summer 2026 schedule, marking the end of the Boeing 777-200LR

Entry into service with summer 2026 timetable
With the gradual delivery of additional Airbus A350-900, Emirates is preparing to introduce its newest flagship aircraft on services to Rome Fiumicino. From the start of the summer 2026 schedule, one of the three daily flights between Dubai and Rome Fiumicino will be operated by the A350, representing a major upgrade for the Italian market.
It remains unclear which cabin configuration will be assigned to the Rome flights. Emirates currently operates two main A350-900 layouts: a 312-seat version featuring 21 Premium Economy seats, and a 298-seat version with 28 Premium Economy seats. The first configuration is installed on 11 aircraft, while the second is found on five units, all among the most recently delivered. In total, the airline has 73 A350s on order.
Farewell to the Boeing 777-200LR
